Heirloom apple celebration returns to Gold Ridge Organic Farms By Jennifer Graue | The Press Democrat

The Gravenstein Apple Fair may have come and gone, but apple season is just getting started.

 

There are plenty of pommes worthy of adoration and Gold Ridge Organic Farms in Sebastopol is doing just that at their annual Heirloom Apple Celebration, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 14.

 

The day features apple and apple juice tastings, cooking demonstrations and orchard walks suitable for all ages to experience the beauty of more than 70 heirloom varieties grown in the orchard.

 

Bring an appetite, too, because there will be wood-fired pizzas, apple hand pies and artisan apple ice cream from Screamin’ Mimi’s available to purchase at the event.
